The Art of Thief Review | Stealthy Box

"Though the game received a lukewarm reception, Titan Books spent the last year hard at work on its own Thief project in The Art of Thief. This beautiful, hardcover art book released alongside the game and weve finally had the chance to turn its pages to find out if its worthy of the purchase price or if you should go the way of Garrett and just steal it." - David Wales

Thief (PlayStation 4) Review - Push Square

Push Square: "Thief is by no means an awful game, but it is a thoroughly disappointing one. By introducing a customisable difficulty setting, the developer has attempted to placate stealth veterans, but the restrictive level design, poor combat, and lack of polish make it a difficult title to really recommend. There are glimmers of outstanding moments on occasion here, but sadly the overall affair is criminally mundane."

Unreal Engine 4 - Impressive Video Shows Off An Entire Honda Jet Rendered In Real-Time

Company 4T has released an amazing video, showing off a Honda Jet that was rendered in real-time by Unreal Engine 4. This tech demo showcases an amazing level of detail, really high-res textures, great reflections and refractions, as well as GI effects. Whats also impressive is that the entire scene is dynamic and dynamically lit. According to the company, each cabin light can be toggled and adjusted and anything that can move does (arm rests extend, knobs turn, tray tables extend and even the sink in the lavatory works).

Thief Review | The Game Scouts

Tin Salamunic: Thief is a perfect example of why I never trust aggregate scores. With a Metacritic average of 69 (PC), I expected a flawed, disappointing, and underwhelming venture, yet what I experienced with Eidos Montreals latest resurrection of Garrett the master thief was anything but. While the reboot doesn't redefine stealth by any means, nor does it raise the bar any higher than what weve seen in Dishonored, Its still a remarkably immersive, gorgeous, and fun adventure thats only held back by annoying load times and odd design quirks. Eidos revival of the long forgotten classic is quite…

PS4 vs Xbox One: The Importance of a High Frame Rate in Games

gamrReview's Zach Frimpong: "My advice to developers is to ensure that 60 frames per second is the goal with every game. Put resolution aside and focus on ensuring that your game runs buttery smooth and in a way that ensures reaction time is not hindered, because graphics age faster than gameplay. Games like Devil May Cry and even Ratchet and Clank strived for 60 frames on reasonably dated hardware, and to be honest, the gameplay in those titles feels a lot smoother and more enjoyable than some recently released titles."

Sucker Punch: We'd Have Loved a Grunge Soundtrack in inFAMOUS: Second Son

Push Square: "Sucker Punchs upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive inFAMOUS: Second Son stinks of teen spirit. The Seattle-based open world adventure has clearly been inspired by grunge culture, from the nature of Delsin Rowes clothing right through to the inclusion of famous venue the Crocodile Cafe, which has been painstakingly remodelled in the game. However, while the studios taken the opportunity to license a number of its hometowns most iconic landmarks, it hasnt been quite as successful in the soundtrack department."

What Would the U.S. Games Industry Decline Look Like Interpreted As a Video?

If you havent heard, noticed, or felt it as a gaming enthusiast, the United States video game industry is on quite the decline. Perhaps not one that is as alarming as the video below is about to make it seem, but noticeable none the less. We hit our peak back in 2008 when the industry became worth $21.33 billion and have now seem to have fallen right back to 2006 numbers in that were now only woth $12.97 billion. Whats concerning is that the decline shows little signs of leveling, putting us in risk of falling back to 6th generation levels of revenue. To be fair, two new consoles recently launched…

Square Enix Forgets That PS Vita Exists

Square Enix recently began asking Kingdom Hearts fans to fill out this survey about the series (and potential Kingdom Hearts III marketing mostly). It asks the usual questions youd expect from a marketing survey some demographic qualifiers, what websites you read, how likely you are to buy certain games, and so on but one particular page stood out when I took this survey. On the list of which consoles you own, the PlayStation Vita is not an option. -PSLS

SXSW 2014: New Details for Tales from the Borderlands

Gamnesia: "The story of how this game ever even happened revolves around alcohol. The guys from both studios got together and just started talking about a collaboration. Telltale felt that Borderlands had a rich world with a really great narrative, and they felt it would be a good fit to make a game about Borderlands with the style of Telltale Games. Many fans these days fail to recall Telltale's history of funny games Sam and Max, for example, or Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People so Borderlands' tendency for humor fits well with them, and they're a bit relieved to be moving away from…
