Strike Suit Zero Director's Cut review (Digital Spy)

Digital Spy writes: "trike Suit Zero: Director's Cut may have some performance oddities when starting up the game, but once you get into the missions, the difference is clear. "Rather than a massive overhaul of the original game, the Director's Cut makes a number of smaller refinements that add up to a much more satisfying experience across the board. "To be clear, Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut is still not an easy game. It is a better-paced and better balanced game, allowing even relative newcomers to zero-gravity dogfights to be able to build up the skills to become ace pilots."

Mercenary Kings PS4 review - OPM UK

OPM UK - The retro movement in indie game development has caught its own tail. Its games no longer emulate the blockbusters of the early 90s, but augment the timeless presentation of your most prized SNES cartridges with systems nobody was ready for in 1992. As it happens, some of us can barely hack them now.

First in-game glimpse of MotoGP '14 seen at Qatar

VVV: "So far, our only fleeting glimpses of Milestone's next-generation debut project MotoGP '14 have been from the teaser trailer and screenshots showcasing the Spanish Jerez track, but we've yet to see how it looks in-game. While we wait for the inevitable gameplay trailer to crop up soon, we spotted a few snaps posted on the official MotoGP game FaceBook page showing the PC version of MotoGP '14 running on an Asus laptop as part of a trip to Qatar in Asia, which hosted the first race event on the real life MotoGP calendar a couple of weeks ago. Curiously, PS4 controllers are being used just…

"We had a really clear vision" for Alien: Isolation

Gamereactor caught up with Creative Assembly's Al Hope and found out more about Alien: Isolation, and what the studio is hoping to achieve by venturing into the depths of the survival horror genre. "From the outset, the reason we made the game was it felt like no-one had taken advantage of Alien," Hope told us when we mentioned the renaissance currently underway in the survival horror genre. "No-one had made the game we wanted to play... I think that first film, there's a natural overlap into survival horror, so it's kind of like the original survival horror. It just felt very natural for us to…

Watch As Push Square Recap March's Best PlayStation Games

Push Square: "There were raised voices in the Push Square office this week, were afraid to reveal. Tensions were frayed after a busy month of big releases, and this video editor is ashamed to admit that he tipped over a table when gaffer Sammy Barker asked for yet another Game of the Month video. Fortunately, after a few smashed tea cups and lobbed custard creams, we decided that the below footage would be compiled in return for an all expenses paid trip to WrestleMania."

Mercenary Kings Review | The Game Scouts

Nick Walge: Mercenary Kings is a Kickstarter funded 2D shooter developed by Tribute Games, the team that brought us Wizorb, and the animator Paul Robertson who's best know for his work on Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game. While it appears to be a simple Metal Slug clone at first glance, players dismissing it as such will be missing out on a deep, fresh indie title that merges the best aspects of old-school side-scrollers with an addictive and satisfying loot-driven mechanic. Mercenary Kings story is fairly simple: you play as a soldier-for-hire whose bullet-ridden body was reconstructed like…

Review: Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition (DarkZero)

Dom from DarkZero writes - "I said last year that I safely believed Dynasty Warriors 8 to be the best entry in the mainline series. Well, Id like to amend that statement, because we now how the base game of Dynasty Warriors 8 built in with the Xtreme Legends add-on, dubbed Complete Edition, for Sonys shiny new gaming console, the PlayStation 4. While the game doesn't use the advantage of the extra power that the PS4 has to overhaul its graphics, it does make this Complete Edition the smoothest looking and content-rich Dynasty Warriors ever, and newcomers who have never played the franchise have…
